Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Slashbit LLC (“we”, “us”) operates toshdash.com and sells the Tosh Dash through it. This page explains what information we receive and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
- When you visit the website: technical access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) that the web server logs automatically, plus our own visit counting — page, time, country, device type and a shortened IP address (see section 6).
- When you place an order: name, email address, shipping address and, if provided, phone number.
- When you email us: your message and your email address.
- When you join the waitlist: your email address, the time, and the country your request came from. We only send the confirmation email and, once, a note when the next batch opens — no newsletter (see section 7).
3. How we use it
- to process, ship and invoice your order,
- to answer your questions,
- to keep the website secure and working.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
4. Payments
Payment takes place entirely on Stripe. You enter payment details such as card numbers directly with Stripe; we never see or store them. Stripe’s privacy policy applies: stripe.com/privacy.
5. Third-party services
- Hosting: The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Germany.
- Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google.
- Payments: Stripe, see section 4.
- Shipping: Your name and address are passed to DHL to deliver your order.
6. Cookies and visitor counting
This website sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics service. Stripe’s own rules apply on Stripe’s checkout pages.
We do count visits, using our own counter on our own server. Nothing is sent to any third party. For each page you open we store:
- the file name of the page and the time,
- the country your connection comes from, looked up on our own server,
- whether you are on a phone, a tablet or a desktop computer,
- your IP address shortened: the last block is replaced by zero, so 84.123.45.67 is stored as 84.123.45.0 (on IPv6 we keep only the first three groups),
- a daily code that lets us count visitors rather than just page views (see below).
The daily code is a checksum built from a random key of the day, your IP address and your browser string. It lets us see that several page views within one day came from the same visitor. The key of the day is thrown away after two days, so the code cannot be traced back to an IP address afterwards, and the same visitor gets a different code the next day. We deliberately do not recognise anyone across days.
We never store the full IP address, we set no cookies, and we do not build a profile of you. A shortened address points at a whole network, not at a person. These records are deleted automatically after 90 days; only the plain page and visitor counts per day are kept longer.
7. Waitlist
If a batch is sold out you can leave your email address to be told when the next one opens. We use double opt-in: you get one email with a confirmation link, and only after you click it does the entry count. Without that click we delete the address. To stop the abuse of the form we store a checksum of your IP address for one hour — never the address itself.
Every waitlist email carries a removal link, and one email to info@toshdash.com is enough as well. We delete the address immediately, at the latest once the batch we told you about has shipped.
8. Retention
We keep order data for as long as needed to fulfill the order, handle warranty claims and meet legal record-keeping obligations. The visit records described in section 6 are deleted after 90 days.
9. Your rights
You may ask us at any time what data we hold about you and request that it be corrected or deleted. A short email is enough.
10. Changes
We may update this page from time to time. The version published here applies.
